Polyurea Flake Floors
The most popular garage floor coating we install, and the one most people picture when they imagine a coated garage. A polyurea base coat is rolled on by hand, color flake is broadcast across the surface and a clear top coat seals everything in. The result is a showroom-quality floor that handles hot tires, chemicals, impact and daily abuse for years.
Polyurea is four times stronger than epoxy in tensile strength, UV-resistant so it won’t yellow near garage windows and cures in just one day. Walk on it after 12 hours and drive on it after 24 hours.
Grind and Shine
For garages where the goal is clean and modern rather than bold and patterned, grind and shine is the right call. Industrial diamond tooling grinds the concrete smooth, and then a penetrating sealer is applied to protect the surface and control the sheen. No flake, no texture, no broadcast material – just clean, sealed concrete that looks right at home in any contemporary space.
It’s also our most affordable option per square foot, which makes it a strong choice for larger garages where budget matters as much as aesthetics. Simple to sweep, easy to maintain and built to last.
Decorative Concrete
The premium option for garages that are genuinely part of the home. Decorative overlays go over your existing concrete and replicate wood plank, stone, tile or custom patterns without the additional cost and mess associated with those materials.

Interior residential garage floors from Blue Shield carry a lifetime warranty against peeling, delamination and coating failure, backed by a 15-year manufacturer warranty. Warranty terms are outlined in detail in your signed estimate before any work begins.

Is garage floor coating slippery when wet?
Polyurea flake coatings have a built-in texture that provides slip resistance on both wet and dry surfaces. The finish is slip-resistant but not slip-proof in standing water. Grind and Shine concrete is smoother by nature, though grip additives can be added.
